Wild swimming with Robson Green.

The other week whilst visiting a friends house, I was watched Robson Green in a series called Wild swimming, it was the second part of the series. There where two very poignant clips for me one where he swims across Corryvreckan whirlpool located between the islands of Scarba and Jura in Scotland; and then on to Holy Island, where he goes into shock. He use the swim to look at identity and family after just losing father, for me there is a unusual vulnerability with this program.

Some of the advice he gets reminds me of my Buddhist practice, that in the end most of the problems are mental not physical, its your attitude. Its your choice at the end of the day, how you relate to your suffering, what you want to learn from it and life. In order to support hi swim the stretch over to Holy Island, he gets a canoeist to help him the advice he give is go with the current. So with a willing attitude we can start to flow with life, which creates less suffering, more joy and from a Buddhist perspective ultimate peace.
