This summer (2010) I attended a phenomenal week long seminar run by Facing History and Ourselves and I'd really recommend for teachers of History, RE, Geography, Citizenship, Art and anyone else interested! They taught some great educational skills, and shared resources with us on using History to teach about identity and human behaviour, and had us seriously considering the importance of upstander (rather than bystander) behaviour. I shared the week with South Africans, Americans, Irish, South Americans, Israelis, a Palestinian and a Rwandan. I learnt a huge amount and would really recommend their website and the resources it has to offer.
