Welcome to Project Happiness, our non-profit educational organization!
Mission
Our mission is to inspire and empower people to create greater happiness within themselves and in the world.
Youth from around the globe are joining the conversation about looking inward rather than outward for happiness. By exploring the relationship between their choices and happiness, they have the opportunity to discover a new sense of awareness and compassion for themselves and others. From the inside out, using an experiential curriculum and digital media, young people are inspired to make informed and compassionate choices that naturally bring about more happiness for themselves and the world around them. It’s a journey of self-discovery, about finding our own path to happiness and embracing our common humanity.
Project Happiness consists of:
Project Happiness: The Movie
The inspiration…where Project Happiness all started! Our feature length documentary film follows the year long journey of teens from India, Nigeria and America as they are challenged to find the nature of happiness and travel by plane, train and jeep to India to connect face-to-face with one another and… the Dalai Lama. Watch our movie trailer now (Movie Release 2009).
Project Happiness: The Online Journey
Built on the content from the movie, The Online Journey extends the happiness conversation to the web so young people everywhere can explore and share videos, photos, podcasts and create their own online portfolio as they journey through…
-
Level I: Happiness -
Level II: Obstacles to Happiness -
Level III: Self-Reflection -
Level IV: Self-Mastery -
Level V: Compassion -

Project Happiness: The Entire Journey
Project Happiness: The Entire Journey features The Project Happiness Handbook which is the complete version of the six online levels. This interactive handbook, using content from the teens’ year long journey and steeped in Social Emotional Learning (SEL), is the focal point for any individual or group who is interested in taking the happiness journey to a deeper level.
Teachers or community group leaders can work with the Project Happiness Team starting Fall 2009 to bring Project Happiness: The Entire Journey into your classroom or facility. Students will work through the interactive The Project Happiness Handbook, teachers will get great support and together we’ll embark on a journey you’ll never forget!
We often hear Gandhi’s quote urging us to “be the change we want to see in the world.” Project Happiness, a non-religious and secular project, takes this deeper by providing youth or the young at heart, with the tools to recognize that they have the possibility of their own positive transformation within themselves, and it’s from this place that they can directly affect the world around them.
