According to Hinduism, we should look on the poor as God Himself, and serve this living God in any way we can. The reason why we should not ignore the problems of world poverty is not so that the problems do not arrive on our doorstep; but because we are essentially expressions of the same divine being. Hinduism teaches that is is we alone who are suffering through all these bodies in remote parts of the world
