No doubt you have your own view of who or what God is - if there is such a being. Belief in a supreme being has been part of society from the earliest days of civilisation. The three so-called monotheistic religions - monotheistic because they believe in one God rather than any number of gods - of Judaism, Islam and Christianity see God as the Creator of the world, a being with a personality who takes an interest in the inhabitants of the world he has created.
