God hinting at Retirement? Satirical piece from 'The Onion'.

This piece may well attract students well-versed in irony - or maybe anyone who enjoys a good laugh. The couple of sentences on the crucifixion may shock some - though for a generation for whom the Crucifixion scene in The Life of Brian is ancient history, this seems unlikely. (By the way, I met a man the other day whose Dad was the bank manager who lent the Monty Python bunch the money to take the first steps towards getting the idea on the road towards production. His reward? Immortality - his name was Brian!)  Alan
