Biologist Richard Dawkins distinguishes between questions which do and do not deserve answers. Giving 'what colour is jealousy?' , he points out that some questions are grammatical while still not warranting an answer. Dawkins goes on to suggest that 'what's the purpose of mountains?' and 'what is the meaning of life?' are also examples of 'silly'questions.
